Hi
Works on my Odyssey are progressing and I am about to install and fix the pipe.
Question:
The manual does not mention anything how the pipe should be built in. Is the far end of the pipe (at the end of fuslage) flush with the wooden part that is screwed onto the last bulkhead? Or should the pipe overlap for some mm's the fuselage?
Thanks for your help!
Daniel

Hi
Just wanted to inquire what sort of heat protecting measures you undertook for the wiring of th elevator and rudder servo.
I got some teflon coated glass fiber tube fabric but it seems to me that this is very heavy, especially when placed aft the CG. Is the glass fiber tubing (without the coating) enough of a heat protection? Would be much lighter in weight.
Thanks!

where can i find a stocking dealer of fct airtraps with screw on fittings in usa. so far all have only the old style nipples with barbs
will 180 have too much idle thrust for taxi and landings i can de tune the top end but swwin offers a 180 with new brushless pump and starter
what servos are you guys using and where can i get the proper length turnbuckles for each surface..............
my plane arrives tomorrow....................................happy day

2. 180 might have a high idle thrust, yes.
3. im using Blue-Bird BLS-3507 purchased from Skytoys - Homepage and i highly recommend them - crazy price/performance ratio!
4. im not using turnbuckles but rather simple M3 threaded rods.
enjoy your new Odyssey!

thank you idm.. i will follow your advice and stay with the 140 size turbine
also the m3 rods with dubro 4-40 hdwr sounds solid too.
im going to try a crack at xpert servos as the dealer here has his odyssey flying on them with good response and no issues so far.. fair price also.
as for saleem it took many weeks to get my tank fittings from him last i ordered and dont want to wait that long for a simple uat.. may just go with bvm high flow for now... or one of the fct glass ones. although i prefer the glass units they make just to be on the safe side when under pressure from fueling tanks up.

Hi Odyssey owners, I'm trying to find out some info about the specific model which has been video'd flying on a 8kg turbine. I'm sure some must know a few of the details of that specific model.
What was the overall weight ? And how much fuel onboard, lastly which 8kg turbine was fitted ?
Many thanks

Yes,
I flew mine with a KT 100 and really decent straight speed and momentum vertical
The Rabbit 100 se is lighter and smaller than the KT 100 g1 too so you wont have to the moon vertical but you're going to squint a little.
The model is large but not heavy, I find flying with a smaller engine just have to keep the go stick pegged a little more to get up to top speed
Easy peasy landings, no fuss no cuss flying
