Waiting for the winds to die down but unfortunately didn’t happen and with the dust blowing I didn’t want to take a chance so still waiting for the maiden.

Ailerons 15mm Low. 22mm high
elevator 18mm Low 24 high
flaps. 45mm and full flaps 75 (will reduce half to 25mm)
Rudder eye balled. Might be 20 or less

50-55% expo all across

all three batteries on the nose tray balanced at 200mm gears out and uat full.

Range test ok brakes seemes weak for the 90 Merlin May be coz I was just pushing full power and then breaking. During ground runs tracks straight and steering is great.

Finger crossed for a good day soon before the temps rise above 45c

thanks for all the support

regards
Aziz

New nose 👃 job well done.

I got the maiden in today. Flew well couple of down clicks and it was stable. Needs. Down elevator for flaps. As suggested

Althoigh i used 35 mm on flaps. Two of my landings were with take off flaps. Ifull flaps. 75 mm really slows down the airplane. Very quickly.

Third flight activated igyro and it becomes the most rock solid plane that I have flown.

Half throttle most of the times and the Tank was half at 5 mins.

Thanks to all the guys who helped me out.

Cheers.

Flew my mini today with the new nose cone, two good flights, jet performed beautifully. The new nose cone weights 4.5 oz more than the original so I had to move my two receiver batteries back I’ve the fuel tank to keep the CG correct. On the plus side I now have a removable nose cone on my mini
i continue to be impressed with this K85, good power, decent acceleration, and pretty efficient with fuel, all for a fair price, you just can’t go wrong with these Kingtech turbines.

Want to thank Tip22v for the "tip" on the Xicoy controller. Works perfect with the JP gear and completely transforms the ground handling. Not that it was bad before, but now I can stand on the brakes and it tracks straight as arrow! https://www.xicoy.com/catalog/produc...a762052f6b7631

Default Flaps

How much down elevator are folks mixing with the flaps? Thinking 4% takeoff flaps and 8% landing flaps type of thing?

Default Down elevator

Your best bet is to set your elevator trim in your flap function in your radio to be able to adjust trin in each flap setting. Takes the guess work out of setting a percentage. Take off and set trim on take off flap, put flaps up and trim. Slow down lower flaps to landing position and trim.

My starting point is zero for cruise, take-off flaps and landing flaps....I rather have the plane climb then putting in too much and having the plane dive....

Default Flap trim

I agree with starting at zero and adjust in flight in all flap settings

I'm glad it's working for you. Just curious, did you route your nose steering servo through the xicoy or bypass it? Thanks.

I would always rather a bit of a dive than a climb, (harder to push than to pull for me). I did get the maiden done today and got off a second flight before the wind kicked up. Stock travels seemed all good so far. I did mix in the nose gear at 80% of rudder, then took out another 25% at full throttle. I may tweak that a bit. 1/2 flaps and full flap settings seemed about right. With the K85 it leaps off the ground. 6 minute flights left a strong 1/4 tank left. Dive with the wind 211MPH, in the wind 195MPH. Dam fast! No wind level WOT I am guessing 190+. I have the Cortex pro in there with the steering servo at the 6th channel. 20% on low and 40% on high. It flew well without it also, but definitely more stable in the wind with it.I think I could go 25% for normal flying and 50% for takeoff and landing,

I may adjust it a bit. I am guessing landing flaps will need 4-6 clicks of down elevator or so to be perfect, but manageable with no down elevator programmed into flaps. First flight needed 1 click of right aileron and a few clicks of up elevator. My CG is a strong 190mm, shy on the 200mm for sure. Inverted she dropped the nose some and needed a bit of down elevator. I would guess 200mm would be close to neutral depending on how full the tank was, for landing and turns I'm not sure I would like it that neutral.

Build mostly straight forward, not exactly plug and play with everything but not far off. It tracks really, really nice, I was worried about nothing. It seems to fly nice and slow also, (for a jet).

I think I will plumb in the smoke as I think it can easily handle the weight.

Through the xicoy...works great. Forget what I used for settings, but could get them to you if you need it.

I’m still dialing in my settings, would love to compare my settings to yours. Are you flying off paved surface or grass? Thanks!

My second T-1 Mini was delivered yesterday It only took four weeks and two days from the time I ordered to it to it showing up on my doorstep, I unpacked everything yesterday and the quality of the build looks very good (just like my T-1 and other T-1 Mini), however there are more bubble wrap markings in the paint on this one indicating that perhaps the factory did not let the paint cure long enough before packing and shipping. I'd like to give a big shout out to Dirk at PRCJ for his unbeatable customer service, thanks Dirk! -Tom
