RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF
I actually have one of the inzpan 1/4 panels at home which might be a bit to big. I've worked out the scale is a
Prox 1/4.8. Perhaps their 1/5 scale kit will work

Hi Ram,
Did you need to scuff up the surface first and prime?

It did. I let it sit for a week before applying the lustracote. I have many flights on here now and she looks just as good as the day I painted her.. A little dirtier though (luv natural weathering)
I'll do the exact same thing to this FW.

That's good news then, I might be able to retro fit it. I'm looking forward to this, means I need to off load my 85" Phoenix mustang but least I'll have some one to chase

Hi Chad, you going to build this one? I say build because I know you efforts would be all out if you did an ARF. It would be rally cool with electric power and electric retracts + sound!! Wallace Tharp

Probably not Wally, too many other projects in the works and I am just not a huge fan of most German warbirds.

It'll be nice when the plane is actually released.

I'm going to sand her down and then repaint it. I hate these threads... The anticipation is killing me, especially since I have nothing on my bench for once...

Ram were gonna have to strip this one for paint

RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF
I wonder what Engine this Plane is modeled for; example: the Giant Top Flite P-40 was modeled to use the DLE55 with a JTec Wrap around Pitts Muffler, I have this plane and use the DLE and Jtec and it was a perfect fit. I can see them modeling the Plane for the DLE 55 as well, the question would be which DLE55, the newer DLE55 has rear mounted Carb and Exhaust, which is listed as being available soon, I would have to think the newer DLE would work great.

Hey n8622t,
I like your thinking. I almost spit iced tea all over my keyboard whjen I read your response............ Unfortunately a DA85 may be a bit much for the Butcher Bird even though I have seen that same motor in a T/F GS Jug. Talk about an AWESOME plane ! ! ! ! ! If I can work out a way to get one of the FW190's, I'm thinking of getting a 3W55 CS for it. A buddy of mine had one in his T/F Jug ARF and it was better than either of us expected to be.
