IIRC, that was an Aussie who'd bought a used 28X which had problems. The distributor in Australia refused to do anything with the radio, so he contacted RC Depot and was told it was out of production...

There was some information posted on RCGroups about the JR stuff and the email a person received from someone at either JR or RC Depot, saying that the 28X was discontinued and no further software...
