First time I used a 2.4ghz radio, I spent the entire tank of fuel trying to pull the damn antenna up.:D

Been running an AM radio in my Savage for 5 years without a problem.

Completely agreed. I've used RTV on backplates and carbs for 5 years and 20+ gallons without any signs of seal degradation. I also know that in the earlier days of my Nitro R/C experience, Lucky 7...

For the amount of fuel exposure the carb and backplate seals will experience, the sealant doesn't need to be fuel proof. I've used RTV for 5 years without any problems.

Aluminum doesn't produce sparks when struck against the ground. Titanium would be better suited for this application.

With all the flammable solvents, tanks of liquefied flammable gases, and pyrotechnic chemicals I have in my shop, I won't be surprised if the Savage spontaneously combusts when I bring it out there...

This truck has gone through more than what most Savage owners will ever do, but I cleaned it fairly well when rebuilding it. I can't wait to bash it in the spring when the snow melts.
