FW-190 D9 1/5 by fokkerc.com
Hi guys
I start new projekt of my favoirite sirplane Focke Wolf 190 Dora 9.
I will build the composite airplane in 1/5 scale by ORIGINAL factory drawings, I don't think to change many stufs so I plan to build 1/1 as a original airplane including all panels details and everything as on the original airplane.
So I start with work on the plans in 3D and other programs

subscribed, really looking forward to this one...Very good choice to model as this one is much easier to balance....just wish you would model it a little bit bigger, 1:4,5 maybe...

Hey Ramstein44 thanks, for me 1/4 scale is little bit bigger but is not bad idea .
I prefer 1/5 cose the all stuf -engine , servos, retract and all stuf are much available, in 1/5 scale the airplane is 210sm. or 82.6 inches. It is not small , it is not too big .... I have a little more time to think about this
As flypilot says, 1/4.5 it is a good decision, I must to think about this
Thanks for your coments guys !
Casey, yes buddy I think about several projekts in the future I can't sleep

I've just been looking at Fw 190 D versions and, esthetically, the D13 (and D12) look best to me. That is just because the nose has a cleaner shape, as it has a Motorkanone through the engine instead of the machine guns on top of the nose like D9.

For me D 9 with machine guns on the nose is better seems more evil , but the D 12 and 13 is more clean look . Interesting , I can make mould for all version 9- 12- 13 , it is not problem
Thanks for the idea pertime I will think about that

Better listen to others too, though. I'm not a very potential customer, at the moment....
... the 20mm (or 30mm) Motorkanone had pretty good "punch" too, but it is out of sight, so does not add to the evil looking bumps. You mainly see the hole in the spinner The lack of bumps might have added a couple of km/h to the speed of D13.

I purchased the 1/4 scale D9 kit from meister-scale just to transform it into the D-15. If you do a D11-D13, you can add me to the list! I've built and have too many D9's already and I agree that the later versions are sexier!. The second pic is of is Evans Q's D13. The first is the D-15 I'll be doing.

I'll just take your word for it. I read some various material on the internet and was left uncertain about whether it was completed, or flew.
At a quick look, you can get from D9 to D13 by changing the top of the nose and using a different intake scoop. For D15, you need a different tail.
