In order for a plane to land, it must be out of flying speed.....just a suggestion, but use full flaps and hold it off till it's totally out of flying speed and settles on it's own in the three point...

DLEVETT, The Tony H oward exhaust kit is a good choice..... with a little innovation it makes a great scale addition...

You might have a look at the Keleo custom exhaust.....fits in the scale position..

I too had problems with the Robart retract valves....Actually they replaced it twice, and I could not stop the leaking.....about ten minutes was the most it would hold enough air to actuate the gear....

I always use automotive clear coat......This is not only gas proof, it seals the entire outer surface..
i have planes with five years of field abuse, a quick wipe with a Windex cloth and it looks...

You got it, Mike.....sometimes we tend to overengineer when the solutions are simple.....I too used the DuBro pinned hinges...they fit pretty well into the factory slots.. They can be reinforced...

Another place for binding, is in the preinstalled outer tubes....a small kink where it passes thru the formers will cause the inner rod to bind and rub....I have used a small piece of sandpaper on...
