RE: TF 1/5 Scale P-51 ARF Assembly (1ST MISHAP!!!)

That is not the same muffler. The one listed is the stock JTEC Pitts. It will not fit within the cowling of the TF P-51.

RE: TF 1/5 Scale P-51 ARF Assembly (1ST MISHAP!!!)

I use a monokote pannel line pen. It works very well, but the down side is tha you have to clear coat to lock them in.

RE: TF 1/5 Scale P-51 ARF Assembly (1ST MISHAP!!!)

JTEC Radiowave is now making a pitts style muffler for a DA or DL-50 which fits in the cowling of the TF GS Mustang. I finally got a chance to mount it and take some pictures. JTEC did a nice job...

I have some good news for anyone (like me) who is looking for a DA or DL50 pitts wraparound muffler that will fit within the cowling of TF GS P-51. I just got off the phone with Al from...

RE: TF 1/5 Scale P-51 ARF Assembly (1ST MISHAP!!!)

Is the issue with the pitts muffler the fact that the header that attaches to the motor too wide or the canister sticking out past the cowling?

RE: TF 1/5 Scale P-51 ARF Assembly (1ST MISHAP!!!)

RE: TF 1/5 Scale P-51 ARF Assembly Thread

Benny,

RE: TF 1/5 Scale P-51 ARF Assembly (1ST MISHAP!!!)

James,

The retracts (mains, inner doors, tail wheel) and the canopy all work off of the same air supply tank, but the canopy does have its own control valve and servo. Others have recommended...

RE: TF 1/5 Scale P-51 ARF Assembly (1ST MISHAP!!!)

James,

I was also concerned with the travel that I would get with a servo and went with the 2" air piston. I think 2.5" of travel would have been better, but I could not find a piston that...

RE: TF 1/5 Scale P-51 ARF Assembly (1ST MISHAP!!!)

RE: TF 1/5 Scale P-51 ARF Assembly (1ST MISHAP!!!)

RE: TF 1/5 Scale P-51 ARF Assembly (1ST MISHAP!!!)

The Aerotech kit did come with the gunsight and battery tops. You use scrap balsa pieces for the base of the batteries. The sliding canopy was fairly difficult and took a lot of time to...
