RE: Scale cockpit - Wow

I have done 2 wings, and there is no weakness on either. I fly mine with a Brison 3.2, and I have made a few hard "pylon" turns with no problems.

Exactly!:D Either airspeed indicator, or the tach is off in the telemetry system.

RE: TF 1/5 Scale P-51 ARF Assembly Thread

try calling Top Flite direct, or Hobby Sevices. When ever I need a replacement for anything Tower carries I have better luck that way.

RE: TF 1/5 Scale P-51 ARF Assembly Thread

There are several different grafics sets available here: http://www.hangtimes.com/wildmannsgraphics.html
They are designed to go with the checkerboard cowl on the TF ARF. Prices seem pretty...

RE: TF 1/5 Scale P-51 ARF Assembly Thread

I think you guys are over thinking this, the set-up that comes with kit has worked flawlessly for 2 years on my plane. Still using the original rubber bands.

RE: nice picture

Just move one of the elevator pushrods to the opposite side of the it's elevator servo and you won't need a reverser. Then put retracts on Ch5.

RE: nice picture

I got to agree with "pittdriver" on the landings. This is the sweetest landing warbird I have flown. Wonder how well it will do with the flaps?[X(]

RE: RE: RE: RE: nice picture

I hope ypu realize that a 6" pich prop turning 6500 rpm will only have 36mph pitch speed. Of course you will have a ton of static thrust, but I think you will have a tough time getting it to fly.

RE: RE: RE: nice picture

Hey Steve, for what it's worth, a 3-blade prop is not scale on a Mustang. Only the very early models, A-36, used a 3-blade, I beleive all the rest used 4-blades.
I am using a 3-blade on my G/P...

RE: RE: RE: nice picture

I think part of the difference in power is that, Splais is turning a 3-blade prop. That will slow a plane way down, and the extra cubes will make up for it. If you want to turn a multi-blade prop...

RE: RE: RE: nice picture

I agree with Gary9648. I have a Brison 3.2 in mine, and it is way overpowered. I was undecided between the Brison and an FPE 2.4. Now I sorta wish I had used the 2.4. Overall weight would have been...

RE: air scoop

Just keep in mind when installing the markings, there are no kill markings or pilot & crew list on the right side of the plane.

RE: First Mishap

This airplane lands soooooo light, the gear, and mounts are NOT an issue. I have about 10 flights on mine and still heve not needed the flaps to "tip toe" in. And mine is still a bit nose heavy. Once...

RE: First Mishap

Most retracts will not just "drop in" to their mounting area. The will usually need to be twisted and turned to set in the wing, so if the bolts shear away, they will still damage the mount area....

RE: TF 1/5 Scale P-51 ARF Assembly Thread

Use a reversing Y harness on the elevator. get one with an adjustment pot so you can center the servos.

RE: TF 1/5 Scale P-51 ARF Assembly Thread

Dick,
the system will take much larger pics now than before, so you may be able to post the ones you already have. Just hit the upload button and you can put up 4 pics per post.
