My guess on the retracts is that it would depend in what part of the cycle they were in when the air supply was depleted....

The upper strut is 5/8 inch o.d.
The lower strut is 1/2 inch o.d.

Do you have your wheels yet? If not pm me as I have an extra set of 10 spoke from
Equinox RC Scale Products....

10 inches from axle center to the top of the strut....
Of course this is adjustable and with the axle centered
with the wheel on and in the wheel well it has about 1/2 to 5/8 inch above the strut...

Consider the 1/4 (Qtr) sized ww2 pilot over the 1/5 th sized one as it looks small and would work out to a 12 in. the same as those from Blue Box. Aces of iron are only the bust type...

Ted, Don't feel alone it's for that very reason that I dislike the Robart Hinge Points.

A few years ago I witnessed a Byron Orginials P-51 on landing approach and a landing light jumped right...

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. Were you using the Top Flite Spinner with the screws ?
Pray tell how were you keeping the screws from extracting themselves ????

This sounds like a new problem from Top Flite, although I don't know for sure!
I haven't run into this one yet maybe someone else has.

Maybe the wheel well cup is a bit to short on depth ??
