FYI,
I don't recommend it but I have a G-38 in mine(already had it when I got the P-51).
I've tried the Zinger 18X12 but only got about 5900 rpms on her.
The only prop I found for the G-38...

Finally finished the rest of my cowl.
Cut the bottom section off and epoxied 1/16" ply to the upper portion and will screw the lower portion in place.
Makes easy access to engine compartment...

Thanks for the pictures.
I was thinking that the carb would be behind the firewall which would create a lot of problems with fuel getting into the fuse.
I see that you only had to build a 'box'...

Got the top part of the cowl put on the plane.
It's a lot easier to mount with the lower part cut away.
I'm using the G-38.
I had one laying around so I'm using it.
It may not have enough...

I cut off the bottom portion of the cowling for easier access to maintenance of the engine compartment without having to remove spinner and prop.
Used small tin snips cutting from the back and then...

Used a pair of kitchen door latches from Home Depot to hold the air scoop on
to eliminate wing attachment holes in the air scoop.

I went to Toys-R-Us with no luck on that P-51 pilot.
They checked their web site and also couldn't find it.
When and where was yours purchased and also the brand and stock number?
...
