That formula is close, but the exact equation should be rpm/1056 X prop pitch. With a prop pitch of 9 and an rpm of 12.5k, the theoretical max speed should be 106.5 mph. If the police radar tracked...

I wasn't using thrust or HP, just calculating how fast that prop could possibly move at that speed and pitch, assuming 100% efficiency. I don't see how it would be possible to go faster than that. ...

Hello,

Is it possible to get 93-103mph with a 10 pitch prop at 7600rpm? Wouldn't the max speed be (10/12)*7600*60/5280 = 71.96mph?
