I painted parts of the interior airframe with a thin coat of primer to help with spotting leaks faster. I may also try adding dye to the baby oil to see if that works;)

to lock and unlock the cylinders you just need to use syringe with a 4mm hose on the end to apply the needed pressure to unlock or lock the valve.

I would use the hydraulic cylinders they make but I do believe air cylinders will work based on what you use them for.
